Early Career, Resident/Student/Fellow and Consumer members of the BI-ISIG are invited to apply for a scholarship to attend the ACRM 2026: Washington, D.C. // ACRM 103rd Annual Conference.

 

Conference Dates: 13 – 16 October 2026

 

The scholarship is valued at up to $700 and may be used for registration or other expenses associated with attending the 2026 conference.

 

The Executive Committee of the BI-ISIG is committed to supporting the involvement of early career members, residents/students/fellows, and consumers in the BI-ISIG and its task forces. Attending the Annual Conference and becoming involved in task force activities is an excellent way to build connections and contribute to the field.

 

Don’t miss this opportunity to network, collaborate with experienced brain injury professionals, and advance your career. There are eight productive BI-ISIG task forces available for participation.

 

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must:

• Be a current ACRM member (paid membership).
• Be either:
  • an early career member (within five years of completion of training, terminal degree, or postdoctoral fellowship if applicable),
  • a resident, student, or fellow, or
  • a person with lived experience of brain injury or a care partner.
• Demonstrate active participation or specific plans for participation in one of the eight BI-ISIG task forces.
• Complete and submit the Scholarship Nomination Form. Please include details about the nominee’s current task force participation, as this is a key component of the selection process.
  • Self-nominations are allowed.
• Obtain and submit an endorsement letter (500 words or less) written by the nominee’s BI-ISIG task force chair(s). The endorsement should confirm the nominee’s active participation or planned participation in the group.

• Attend the ACRM 2026 Annual Conference.
• Attend the BI-ISIG Summit meeting and the Task Force meeting at the Annual Conference.

 

Previous BI-ISIG award recipients remain eligible to apply. However, preference will be given to new applicants if a nominee has received two consecutive BI-ISIG scholarships.

 

This award must be used for the 2026 Annual ACRM meeting and cannot be applied to future conferences. If an awardee is unable to attend after receiving the scholarship, they must notify Raj Kumar (raj.kumar@mountsinai.org) and Terri Compos (TCompos@acrm.org) as soon as possible.

 

How to Obtain an Endorsement

Contact the chair of the BI-ISIG task force in which you participate and request that they complete a BI-ISIG Conference Scholarship Endorsement Form. The form asks for a statement of approximately 500 words describing the nominee’s participation in BI-ISIG task force activities.
