How to submit a Nomination

Description of open positions
Treasurer:
The Treasurer shall see that an accounting system is maintained in such a manner as to give a true accounting of the financial transactions of the corporation and that reports of such transactions are presented promptly to the Board. The Treasurer shall also oversee the completion of an annual audit by a certified public accounting firm and in general, shall perform all the duties customarily incident to the office of Treasurer and other duties as determined from time to time by the President or the Board. The duties of the Treasurer may be assigned by the Board in whole or in part to the CEO. The Treasurer shall also serve as an Officer of the Board of Governors and Voting Member of the Board of Governors and Executive/Finance Committee.
Term: The Treasurer serves for two years and may serve two additional two-year terms for a total of six consecutive years if elected by the membership.
Meetings:
- Attend the monthly Board of Governors Meeting
- Monthly Executive Finance Committee meetings
- New Board Member Orientation
Treasurer’s Responsibilities
The Treasurer shall:
- Review monthly financial statements. Report to the Board any significant deviations from the budget.
- Develop a preliminary budget in cooperation with the CEO, review budget with Executive/Finance Committee, and recommend approval of the budget to the Board of Governors.
- Submit a written report to the Board of Governors quarterly. Respond to questions at Board meetings.
- Present an oral report at the annual meeting’s General Business Session.
- With Executive-Finance Committee, establish guidelines for investments and other financial policies.
- Assure that an annual independent audit or review is conducted.
- Plus fulfill responsibilities of all board members as outlined below.
Member-at-Large
ACRM Board of Governors Members attend a monthly Board of Governors meeting via an online web meeting, as well as an onsite meeting just following the ACRM Annual Fall Conference.
Term: Member-at-Large serves three-year term and may serve one additional three-year terms for a total of six consecutive years if elected by the membership.

Responsibilities of the officers
- Monthly Board of Governors Meeting Criteria for Board Members
- Active member in good standing of ACRM.
- Demonstrate a special commitment to ACRM through tenure of membership and participation in the organization.
- Ability to accomplish tasks on schedule and to work effectively with other people.
- Understand and agree to the necessary commitment of time and Board activities
Member-at-Large Early Career is the same as a Member-at-Large, however they are defined as Early Career according ACRM definition
