Dr. Margaret Nosek was an internationally recognized authority on the health of women with disabilities and the Margaret Nosek Award recognizes her contributions through more than 30 years of sharing/disseminating knowledge as a researcher and advocate of disability rights.

This award is open to mid- and late-career (a minimum of 5 years-post completion of their advanced degree) investigators and comes with a plaque. The recipient of the award is required to present her work during the ACRM Annual Conference.

• Candidate must be female.
• Candidate has made significant contributions to research on the health of women with disabilities and dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of people with disabilities.
• Candidate must be a current member of ACRM.
• Candidate must attend the current year’s ACRM annual conference.
• Members may self-nominate.

• A statement of approximately 500 words in length outlining the nominee’s research accomplishments in rehabilitation, community living and disabilities rights
• Two letters of support written by ACRM members and/or non-members
• 3-5 high-impact peer-reviewed senior author publications
• A CV for the nominee
• Demonstration of service to ACRM, although not a required criterion, will be considered in review of the application. As such, it is advantageous to discuss any such service in one’s nomination statement
